What is quantum energy?

Quantum energy refers to energy that exists in the form of quanta (smallest energy portions). It is the foundation of all matter and thoughts.

In physics, quantum energy describes the discrete amounts of energy that a quantum mechanical system can assume. Quanta are the smallest possible portions in which energy can be transferred.

The quantum energy of electromagnetic radiation such as light depends on the frequency of the radiation. The higher the frequency, the higher the quantum energy of the photons.
